Our midfield will look like this: Odegaard, Rice, Partey mostly starting then we have Jorginho, Sambi, Viera then Havertz and Trossard who can play there. I'm not sure about ESR future and Elneny also might not be here so kimmich is a good option who covers midfield and right back.
Also in defence I think we should bring on young cb who can play on both sides like that Everton guy.
My main concern is Saka, I think we should get a good player who's left footed and can cover the front line when asked to maybe like raphinha and we should sign a younger striker like Gyokores selling Eddie and Cedric. Nelson idk about him if good offers come then I'll sell him and I'll give youth academy players a chance
They kept Muhammad E at the club for three years with injury without playing any game significant in at that time so why can you keep partey that is even better than him this i don't understand
I'm "peeved" you didn't read my comment tom 😁
I think Eddie and ESR would never join Ipswich or likes …I am sure many Clubs looking to break into the top 6 would vie to sign both of them.
The thing with Partey is if you play him only 70 mins he can be fit . He cannot run the whole 90 or 100 mins . His body breaks down .
We need Partey more than we need Jorginho…the technical and physio team need to manage his injuries…
Arsenal will get 15 for Nketiah and 25 for ESR.
Not sure what is best for Partey but a fee would be good to reinvest. On the injury – it’s been the same injury and we have finally operated. We may have fixed him but gut says a new player in peak years is needed
I'm "peeved" that you do these insightful shows everyday, without fail😜🏃♂️
Have a great day Tom and all the Gunners out there…COYG 💪‼
I would like Partey and Jorginho for next season. Even if they play 20-25 games a season and bring another 25-26 yrs old centre mid to have some time to fit perfectly in tactics of Arteta through a season.
Hi Tom, Why have you shifted you're preference from Gyokeres to Isak ??
If ESR isn’t the future then getting money for him is best all round.
Great show today! I am so excited for the weekend!
If the club are convinced that Partey's operation has been successful then I think they will try to keep him and manage his minutes with another number 6 option brought in during the summer transfer window.
Back on 1 January 2024, The Telegraph published:
Partey had surgery on his thigh after suffering the injury with the final kick in training before Arsenal’s Champions League match against Sevilla earlier this season.
Chris Hughton, the Ghana head coach, said that Partey’s injury is the biggest he has suffered in his career.
“Thomas Partey for sure, and I say this not in a detrimental way to the squad that we have, but he is one of our most important players,” said Hughton.
“This we know and, withstanding his injury, he certainly would be in the squad. We know the quality of player that he is. This is a player that has a substantial injury.
“I’ve spent a lot over this period of time with Thomas and also engaging with the medical staff at Arsenal Football Club.
“They will treat this injury with caution, and so will the player. This is a big injury for him and the biggest injury that he’s had.
i dont mind keeping partey and jorginho next season and letting them leave on a free. its not like we can get big money for them anyways.
For me an injury prone but occasionally available Partey is a lot more useful to the squad than Tomi. I’d rather we get a great defender, a brilliant 8/6 mf, and a proper versatile wing forward, than try to replace Partey and rely on Tomi being the “5th defender” imho. Nobody we buy for the money we’ll get for Partey will have his qualities and experience while Tomi for me is far more replaceable.
Man Utd are sooooo bad right now, we need to go there with the most confidence we have ever had. MA should show them the Palace match, not our previous matches against them or anything else, as the Utd that played this week is the one we are facing, and they are playing like a lower 2nd division team. If we don't get 4 or 5 against them it will be down to our lack of clinical finishing, not lack of opportunities.
