People probably giving him stick under his Liverpool posts unfortunately

Not sure if this will relate to a transfer out this summer, but unlike wingers, I am not really sure who is attainable we could get that would be a clear upgrade on Darwin.

In theory Isak would but he gets injured too often. Openda is a good promising player but isn’t a great finisher as well. Toney doesn’t fit the age target.

maybe because our “supporters” have been bullying this man for months now

  4. Don’t blame him honestly, nothing to do with the fans in the stadium but people online are sad little people and the second that Bascombe and Joyce put out articles(hit pieces, probably by Edwards) on the same day saying he was a Klopp signing and with Klopp leaving he was losing his biggest supporter, I’d have questions and issues as well

  5. Darwin is getting far to much hate, he’s not the reason we have been shit this last part of the season. People need to give him a break.

  6. Would be a sad end to his time here, no one should be forced out.

Especially with him being our 2nd highest goal contributor this season.

Hope things get easier for him, I’d be really sad to see him go. There’s a special player in there, even if it’s taken some time to come out

He’ll leave Liverpool, get signed quickly, and become an absolute stud. Mark my words. I don’t think Klopp’s crew, for all of the good they’ve done, cultivate true #9’s all that well. Just my 2 cents.

Between our fans abusing him under every single of his social media posts to our journalists writing hit pieces can you really blame him? YNWA only when you’re on good form eh.

  9. Casual reminder that there are people who will see one of their players get harrassed to no end and will feel happy and satisfied about it because apparently they think he’s the sole reason for not reaching a 90+ points tally

  10. This is quite sad and don’t get me wrong I’ve criticised his play before, but this isn’t it no one deserves the abuse

You Never Walk Alone…unless you hit a run of bad form, then fuck off actually

  12. Anyone giving him shit on his own Instagram posts can fuck off to be honest. Trash people

Damn this is sad, if he does leave, i don’t want it to be on a bad note.

I’m hardly surprised when we win 4-2 and people are criticising him despite him only playing 15 minutes of it.

He already had the comments switched off but just seeing the pictures might remind him of the abuse.

Couple that with Edwards sanctioning a hitpiece on him, and it’s unsurprising if he’s having a tough time of it.

  15. Emberassing fan base abusing our own players. Full of plastic shite fans go support chelsea if you want to do that

I’m not his biggest fan, he frustrates me on a weekly basis but I can acknowledge he cares and is committed. These so called fans should have to experience watching the likes of Andrei Voronin, David N’Gog, Rickie fucking Lambert play upfront for us before they start abusing Nunez. I remember it took Crouch fucking ages to score for us but he was backed.

Absolutely pathetic that the supporters saying You Never Walk Alone bullied their own player into doing this

  18. YNWA…. until one of our players hits a bad run of form and they turn on them. Our fanbase gotta do better.

Maybe I’m a fucking idiot, but I still think he can be a world class striker.

  20. Still even after hitting horrible form, he remains one of my favorite players. Doesnt deserve to get spit on by “fans” and that hit piece from the club was uncalled for.

Feel absolutely fucking gutted about this shit with Nunez. You can clearly see he is very uncomfortable at the moment at the sideline as well as on the pitch. This social media stuff just tells that he is past the limit he can take.

  21. AdministrativeLaugh2 on

He’s obviously got his flaws but I really hope Slot gives him a chance and then if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work

  22. It’s a travesty how a small group of “supporters” gets to have the loudest voice sometimes. Despite his form recently, I’m still buzzing about his performance at St. James’ Park

  23. TheLimeyLemmon on

I really hope this isn’t some indication that he’s leaving. I love Darwin, I’d at least want to see how he’d do next season.

  24. Terminally online freaks may now realise that while footballers are living hundreds of millions of people dreams by being paid incredibly high wages to play football, that they are still human beings and that constant abuse does have an effect on a person.

And terminally online freaks is aimed at those that support Liverpool as well as the other teams fans that regularly abuse him and other players online.

But I won’t hold my breath as these arseholes aren’t known to change their opinions despite overwhelming evidence being presented to them.

Massive “The beatings will continue until morale improves” energy towards this guy from the fanbase. And if he gets sold we will live to regret it for years. His contributions for the bulk of this season are why we are where we are and third is a position we’d have all absolutely took in August.

We do not have the money to find a ready made replacement for what he brings in form…so why don’t we actually go in with the forward we have not the hypothetical one we might get if we spend 150mn and break our wage structure. Sick of it.

Edit: He’s been an absolute machine for Uruguay and it’s not talked about anywhere near enough.

  26. A lot of talk about Liverpool attackers on the way out. No way we get rid of Salah, Diaz, and Nunez in the same off-season. I think Nunez stays. Let him actually be a striker on a team that uses a striker.

  27. He’s our second highest goal contributor and some of you absolutely shit on him. Yes he needs to improve in close finishing and consistency but he has never not shown passion for this team and effort.

He will shine, and I hope it is for liverpool. Sending him kind and encouraging words. Maybe he won’t see them maybe he will. He clearly loves the club. I’m not throwing in my Darwin towel when I still see his love for the club and potential yet to be tapped.

If he leaves, I hope he shines somewhere else. YNWA.
