Steph has lifted a lot of trophies in her career and has the chance to lift one in her final football game if City can win the title.
City won’t lift the trophy this weekend even if they win, Chelsea have to win their last 3 games and catch up on goal difference and city need 4 points from the last 2 games to be successful.
I’m a Chelsea fan, but totally okay with losing to City this year. First because they have been so consistent and are clearly the best team in the WSL this year, but also because it’s Steph Houghton’s last year. She has done so much for women’s football in England and I think that has been forgotten a bit with the post-Euros surge in popularity. I want to see her get her flowers this year (and her trophy).
