Joe Scally has signed his first professional contract with NYCFC. The 15-year old, who joined the first-team on their preseason training camps in Jacksonville, LA and Mexico, will finish out the remainder of the school year before commencing full-time training with the seniors in the summer.

I hope he doesn't get swallowed by the hype like Freddy Adu did. I remember how big a deal he was in a time when the MLS wasn't even considered a true major league. I hope this kid becomes the face of US Soccer one day.
