Not his best season by any means, but I hope people aren’t too concerned. I think he had a subpar year due to a few things: a failed summer transfer that stayed on his mind longer than it needed to be, then being in and out of the lineup due to the Asian cup, and just a worse supporting cast around him in Porto this year.
Fortunately he’s been rounding back into form the past few matches for Porto, and I think he will be a great contributor in Italy.
