no red card, no foul . barcola poor and scare
Comparing Kompany to Araujo with that hypothetical is shameful. Barcelona are devoid of leaders and Gundogan is a leader that just came from a serious team. It’s right that he made those comments, he’s not throwing any one under the bus by being truthful.
Different between men and kids.
Regardless of who is right or wrong does Ale even know what he is talking about because in the same interview gundogan said the players weren't good enough in coming out to vitinha for the second goal. If you're gonna be talking at least watch the interview.
ESPN is just stupid sometimes like Araujo's decision to foul Barcola. Gundo is just speaking facts. Whats wrong with that? Why would any player allow his team to suffer and still feel defensive about his costly decision?
ESPN and journalists hunting for something that isn't there. Gundogan didn't come out and say it was a stupid mistake or blamed the loss on Araujo, he just answered a question and said in those instances you have to make better decisions. Did he lie? No. He also didn't have to mention other players not playing key passes or not raising their level that game because at the end of the day the red card was the game changer and big talking point for the media. This panel is acting like Gundogan outright battered Araujo in the presser.
I’m so tired of ESPN clowns
I don’t think there’s a problem with what Ilkay Gundogan has said in regards to Ronald Araujo’s red card which was the driving force behind Barcelona’s loss to PSG later in the game. It changed the entire game and in that situation, it’s best to let the attacker score or try to see if the goalkeeper saves a 1v1, because Gundogan is basically saying that you can’t go down to 10 men and expect yourself to win an important champions league game and it’s obvious that he’s frustrated with this loss. Araujo hit back and said that he doesn’t care about what Gundogan thinks about his red card and I have to disagree with him, because before he got sent off, they were up by 2 goals and it looked as if they would hold on, they didn’t mainly because of his red card and they couldn’t find a solution playing with 10 men.
This whole “small club mentality” attitude at Barcelona needs to change if they want to be among Europe’s elite again and get back to competing for trophies because Gundogan’s comments are a sign of a serial winner someone who isn’t content with mediocrity. This isn’t the first time he’s publicly criticized the team after a big defeat because remember I think it was after their loss to Real Madrid earlier in the season, he said that the players showed no emotion after a defeat and were happy with leading for most of the game only for Jude Bellingham to then dunk on them with 2 goals in that second half. Do I blame him for the things he saying, absolutely not because this is a guy who’s used to winning because he played on a team that basically wins every week and he went from that playing under Pep Guardiola and some of the best players in the world at Manchester City to now this at Barcelona. After Barcelona beat PSG away from home last week, he’s probably confused on why people are celebrating after just the first leg as if they won the World Cup, because the tie isn’t over after 1 leg. He’s frustrated I get it mainly because on this young team, he’s one of the players that they can look up to and Barcelona need more players like Ilkay Gundogan and get out of this “weak mentality” of accepting defeat and being fine with just the minimum.
Gundogan is right he is a senior teammate that’s won everything
These pundits are just taking things out of context, constructive criticism is what Gundo is doing here for the betterment of the team not a player team..
Yup EPSN, sensational
Proper way to say it Greg is the man that have not made a mistake have not learnt nothing as yet or have not learnt how or y or shud he do it in that way or this way he has now become composed in decision making
Theres no accountability anywhere in today's world
Gundo is right though they asked him a question he answered simple that’s why they are second and have had a below average season because they keep making all these stupid mistakes look at cancelo nonsense player I can see why pep removed him from Man City 😒
Gundo is just being a good leader bud he is a treble winner I would just nod 🙂↕️ and keep it moving and take it all on board
This is not the first time hurts his team.
Ilkay is looking forward to next season when Xavi is gone. He knows that Xavi saying it wasnt a red card is ludicrous and he wants to be on the side of sanity for when rafa takes charge .
Barca is a sloppy club
Gundogan is right but he shouldn't have publicly thrown his teammate under the bus like that
He did say that Vitinha should have been closed!
He sounds Indian
This video just reminds me of why I don’t tune into ESPN for Football analysis
Araujo should have known better, not because it was an actually a red card but because this is how it goes for Barcelona every season. He rests his hand on the attacker's shoulder for a second, no pull, no tug, the attacker flops to the ground and gets him sent off. Smart from the attacker's point of view. A good VAR team would have called the referee to check the monitor. The same VAR ignored the contact against Gundogan in the second half. It happens every season. If I was Xavi, I would have reminded the team of this.
