phillips needs a good pre season to bring him back
Spurs are smashing you tomorrow night either way – Yid Army
If anyone in that crowd(apart from the fan giving phillips stick) thought that middle finger was at them then grow a thicker skin. And phillips giving the finger to the fan is absolutely correct…he is at his lowest and that fan was being an asshat!
There are ordinary people up and down the country working in retail that have idiotic customers swear and test their patience every day, but they control their emotions. For a pittance, they take shit. Kalvin Phillips has no excuse for his reaction.
Downes is the perfect bench player, moyes dislikes him for whatever reason…same with half his squad. Moyes out
Worst signing in Prem history
Fabs are supposed to support the team not attack them. « Fans » 🤦♂️
Whats worrying is that there has been no response from the player or the Club. I was expecting a kind of "i'm sorry, the whole team were disappointed at the loss, and I went too far. I have a huge respect for the fans, and will put all my energies into doing well on the field"…. or something like. But no – total silence. But the club havent said aything either – no "Kevin knows he let himslef down", or alternatively "Kevins behaviour was not what we expect from our players, and we have fined him some wages" No, total silence there as well. I suspect that Moyes is being totally stubborn – and wont hear a word said against him. And I also supsect that he'll play him on Tuesday, just to make a point.
He seriously needs to go, he will find it extremely hard to turn things around whilst under immense pressure he needs a fresh start
It was mistaken identity, Zouma mistook the cats arse for his furry slippers he got for Christmas.
Two fat ladies is 88.. two little ducks is 22. Happy Easter
They should have got some change from 50p. West Ham's transfer record really is shambolic. Other teams around us in the table get top players like Anthony Gordon, James Maddison and, dare I mention him, Harvey Barnes. We wind up with muppets like Phillips, Ings, Kehrer and Ward-Prowse. Small club policies I'm afraid.
Just watched Downes play against Ipswich. We should take him back at the end of the season (along with signing Ipswich's manager…!)
🍒👌
I still don't be surprised if Moyes plays him again. He never admits to any mistakes of learns lessons.
If only he was a 50 pound man, or maybe you nean thats his current price.
You speak sense gonzo as usual
Don't think you could be more wrong. Moyes won't bat an eyelid. Carry on exactly as before.
No problem with him giving the finger. He's a human before being a footballer. Fan dishes shit, he can give a finger.
Flynn Downes over Phillips button
Kids only need to watch the TV news to see children their own age being slaughtered in a genocide that we are paying for – and you REALLY think that a footballer sticking his middle finger up in a fit of (understandable) pique is going to corrupt them? Have a listen to yourself!
Phillips has had bad luck amidst his apathetic performances and I guess it just all got to him. But if all we are looking for is Alvarez cover when he is suspended & jet lagged, then in hindsight Flynn Downes would have been a far better option. We should now seriously be looking to ease in Orford.
Moyes is a joke. A dinosaur. A dickhead. look at his ideal players, Slabhead, Philips, the other Manc has been. He is past his use by date, he couldnt cut it at Man U, that should have been the end of his premier league career. Leugue 2 is more his level, get rid. We are a rich London club, we should be able to attract any young up and coming attacking manager. Moyes is an embarrassment and a disgrace. Please get him out of our club before he destroys it altogether. Take Zouma, soucek, coufal with him.
Here's a though from a Leeds fan try supporting him as hes going through a rough patch he doesn't need you lot blaming sh*t on him that isn't his fault such as that penalty, also instead of blaming Philips how about you blame your manager for his tactics
It's a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 13 games to go until we part ways with him. Been some incredibly amazing performances, some soul-draining performances and way too many fear-based performances. Let Tim propose tye next manager, let's bring through some of our high-achieving academy players and play with a winning mentality again
Abuse a player and expect to get it back, i have no doubt Kalvin will get back on form but the only club where he'll get the support he needs is at Leeds, he wouldn't walk into that team as they are now but everything behind the scenes is where he'd get the support he needs to get back on track
Funny that this is Jarrod Bowen in disguise to gently lower the boom on Phillips and Moyes.
imagine how different the west ham vs newcastle game would of been if we had alvarez on the pitch
Let’s hope it’s the same as the Granit Xhaka incident at Arsenal where he chanted for more boo’s as he was coming off but then turned out to be a key player for Arsenal that season.
Gonzo you are the Des Lynam of Hammerschat
Phillips like Drinkwater believed the hype of how good they were both got big money moves to Chelski/Citeh respectively and suddenly found out they are not as good as they thought and football career is spiraling down the pan….Grealish now realising as did Sterling that Pep takes no prisoners and will get shot of you no problem…..so be happy to be playing football on wages the fans can only dream of the grass is not always greener
That's an absolute joke, can anyone really say that was a pen on Gordon? From then on he was actually decent in that game. He's allowed to defend himself, some fans can shout some anything, all you see is his reaction and what? He's not allowed to say anything back, I'd tell them to fuck off aswell. It's sad how everyone's jumping on him as if he's terrible. Everyone who hates him, need to really grow tf up. Its now he needs abit of support. Now I just feel sorry for him, its gone from some words to a full on hate campaign against him, harassing him. Its just sad.
I literally felt for Coufal. Nobody has a brilliant game every game and unfortunately Gordon had his number and Moyes just threw him under the bus. Like Geo said it was just a simple decision, swap Vlad out for Ben. I know I've said this before and as fans we just hate to see such clear and obvious mistakes from the manager but just how bad does that effect the players he does this to? I bet there is literally not a single PL player who would ever say I'd like to play for Moyes. Cos that coward would throw his own mum under the blimin bus!
You are really pushing for these fans to have to much of a voice these are not real old skool west ham fans its the new generation and im not feeling this new west ham fans way they have no voice in the stadium just on timelines and outside on youtube you clowns sing your hearts out for the lads and if you dont want to FUCK YOU, west ham used to be powerful off the pitch we were the back bone, now were our teams crippling effect
In KP's defence there is a good player in there, but… he needs to knuckle down, train hard and prove he can reach the levels he should when he was at Leeds, He left Leeds on is own accord, but the treatment he received by plastic pep was really bad and completely unprofessional especially in public just shows you how horrible plastic pep really is and he's done the same to other English players, that I think got to him, so he lost his confidence, and confidence is what can make or break a player, city have a bad reputation of screwing people over with transfer fees and getting rid of their unwanted castoffs (Jack Harrison is one of them). For KP though any player who receives abuse has two choices, personally he should have ignored it and walked away he made the wrong choice, after all the fans in no small way pay your wages! Should he have gone to WHam? I think it was a good move for him and for Wham, but I also think he not been managed that well, privately Moyes would have known what state he was in, but its up to the player to prove his worth. I saw the match against Newcastle there was no way that was a penalty seriously! Gordon is a serial cheat, who operates on the edge of footballs rules, KP 's only fault was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Should he go back to Leeds the answer is no, he would not fit into Farkes system and as far as priorities in that area are concerned he's not needed, plus realistically we cannot afford him and that's the truth, we are still in the championship, until the fat lady sings that's where we are. There's a good player in there somewhere, if Moyes, and Wham can get him to play then I think you won't regret it! At the moment its just teething troubles! Last season we wasted £200 mil on complete crap and I really mean awful players, (KP IS far better than all of them) I' am sure you have been through the same nonsense! But KP will come good mark my words! Best of luck this season Hammers! **MOT**
Have to say I feel sorry for the geezer. The penalty was absolutely not his fault. The ref made a ludicrous decision. The benefit of var was totally wasted! Fact is, if Phillips hadn’t tried to clear that ball, we would have been on his back even more! If someone puts a message on sm saying the fans are shit, that person deserves all he gets, but not for making a spur of the moment gesture!
Another moyes buys showing his class
Feel sorry for the lad, everyone's been one his back after the first game, he acted liked a man under pressure thats been blown out of proportion. At least he didn't spit on anyone, give him a break.
He is a Yorkshire lad he isn't going to settle down in London. Moyes got it wrong, he got it right on Lingard. Philips could destroy our season if moyes puts him in….
I never saw Philips game face, just smiles. Horrendous decision by the club to get in a player who spent 2 years on the bench at City. It was just a punt as there was no evidence that he was fit it in any form. Nothing. The club really Is getting very good at throwing millions away down the drain …..
I fully agree with you Gonzo but I can’t help feel that David Moyes lack of player management skills has contributed to Kalvin’s problems. He just wasn’t fit enough both physically and mentally to be through into the side mid season.
Two fat ladies 22?
88 ya wally!
Whoever thought Phillips was a good idea needs to go also with 500k barnet
