The way the game played out today is an alarming trend this season in big games. Versus Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal, we had plenty of opportunities but were unable to put them away. Madrid played in their own box without even an attempted shot for more than 93 minutes. They played like a small team and the best team lost. But City's too many passes outside the opponent's box is working against them. It isn't even working against PL teams like Arsenal. They need to be more direct. Doku was better in those terms, but not enough as it turns out. Pep should have known better.
