People blinded by hate wont see it but hes unironically one of our top 5 most important players right now
He's won us 12 points this season. We haven't lost or drawn a single game where he has scored or assisted. Definitely one of the signings of the season also purely due to the fact how downplayed it was.
I mean.. he is one of the first name on the teamsheet nowadays…. yea.. Arsenal are definelty happy with this signing.

He has actually facilitated a significant change in the way we play against teams that press very aggressively. Before, when we got pressed and couldn’t find a way to play our way out, then we’d just have to boot it long into space and hope our wingers could win it.
But now, we have a target we can consistently aim at, one that wins his aerial duels and lets us play over the press much more comfortably. This actually makes a huge difference for how we can manage games.
He is clearly up there as one of the best signings of the season. Anyone who says otherwise is filled with hatred or has some pathetic agenda

He simply can't be because of the fee. I'm an Arsenal fan and appreciate what Havertz has brought to the team after the initial first few months where he was a passenger, but signing of the season? That's doing too much to counter the haters he has – mostly Chelsea fans who want him to fail for obvious reasons.
£65m was £20m too much for him based on his form and performances for Chelsea since they signed him for £70m from Leverkusen. We actually gave them a £37m accounting profit for Havertz, it was not a good deal for Arsenal, and the only way it ever does become that is if we end up winning the PL or CL.
The only context which helps is that Bayern Munich also wanted to buy Havertz so we had to outbid them, but that could have just been a bit of pot stirring by Tuchel, on behalf of Chelsea, because of Declan Rice.

I'd be lying if I tried to argue that Arsenal don't have probably the most deluded fan base (as a gooner myself) but Chelsea fans go under the radar with their horrendous takes. I've never seen a Chelsea fan (in person or on the internet) who doesn't have at least one objectively bad footballing opinion and Mattise is no exception. Just being salty here.
