This week Rob Baxter hit out at potential World Rugby law changes saying “We need to stop changing the laws”.
World Rugby has outlined the next steps in the process of reimagining rugby’s entertainment factor, part of a wider mission to grow audience share over the next decade.
Is this necessary or is it confusing for players and spectators alike?
In this video, I share my thoughts on Phases 3,4 & 5 of their plan. Are we sacrificing the core tenets of our game for global appeal?
What do you think?

"Is Rob Baxter right? – Should rugby laws be left alone?"
(specifically referring to the physical nature / "danger" 🙄 of the game; yellow/red cards/tackling):
a hundred-nay-THOUSAND times "YES!" in fact, rugby laws should be walked back to rugby circa 2007-2009. make all the players sign a waiver stating that they are aware of (and willing to take) the risks associated with playing a dangerous sport. i guarantee you that almost 100% of players will sign and get on with it. problem solved, RUGBY UNION restored. i'm sick of all the bs laws trying to pamper 100kg+ warriors like little girls. rugby IS a demanding physical (almost combat) sport. we watch and love it because it's so confrontational. stop trying to emasculate it.
(oh and of course scrap the stupid "short arm free kick at the scrum" idea, right fking now before it's even implemented. AND the new bench replacement laws. who the hell comes up with this bs?! 🤷♂🤦♂)
