For the first time ever Georgia will be playing at the European championship. An historic moment for the nation and Sagnol deserves alot of credit for the work he has put in!!

  1. And they really do have a chance in that group. They obviously have been playing well and on paper they look really good with players like kvara and mamardashvili, theyre team has a market value of like €150m (obviously kvara takes up like 60% of that market value but anyway) so this is actually a team that could go far

  2. Really sad for Greece since they were really close to pip the Netherlands in those Euro Qualifiers and played some great football but man those georgians celebrations at the end of the match were freaking awesome. I can honestly see Georgia pulling an upset in that Group F kinda like Iceland in 2016 ngl.
btw Willy Sagnol is the first ever frenchman coaching an european country outside of France & qualify for the Euros…and he did it with Georgia. Kudos to him.

  3. "We will have a debutant at this Euro."
In fact, Serbia's last Euro appearance was 2000, when the country was known as the FR Yugoslavia. This would be the first Euro as an independent nations. They also qualified for the World Cup as Serbia three times (2010, 2018, and 2022).
Also, Georgia were a part of the Soviet Union in the past, but this would be the very first time they played a major tournament (Euro and World Cup) as an independent nations.
