I think that he was never a serious buy for City. They don't seem to care that he wasn't making the first team. I suspect it as Pep taking him off the market and preventing a rival team from getting him where he would get game time and develop into a valuable asset for one of those teams.

Don’t get me wrong. I like West Ham but it’s a boring move for kalvin. West Ham are a boring club even Brentford, Brighton and Villa (before this seasons current performance) and dare I say Everton and Nottingham Forest are more exciting to watch.

The obvious and best way to put him in the squad is to replace Soucek but Moyes wont drop Soucek no matter how bad his form is and JWP is our set piece taker so he isnt replacing him. So that leaves Alverez who is our best midfielder…

Different games require different players. When We need to control possesion and the tempo of the game, Kalvin comes in. When we are desperate for a goal, or holding onto a lead with crosses coming in, Soucek come in. When Alvarez get his inevitable suspensions, or is too tired from international duty trips over to the Americas, Kalvin replaces Alvarez in the team.
He wont have the chance to impress because all Westham does is DEFEND 😂😂

We try to play quick counter attacking football but it breaks down most of the time because apart from JWP our passing is shocking and defeats the fast counter attack, he could be Bowen & kudos best supplier I personally think he could be our missing link to confirm top 6-7 place ⚒️⚒️⚒️
