Should Arsenal be concerned by the number of minutes Bukayo Saka has played already, and therefore prioritise a rotation option in the transfer window?

JJ Bull takes a look 🧠

  1. Well. You say things that sound tickling to many people who don’t ask the right questions;

    How does Saka at 22yo compare with CR7 for Goals and Assists, same number of games played? Saka is already ahead of the great CR7! TALK ABOUT THAT FORST before trying to reach Mikel Arteta what he’s already many years ahead of you on!

    And like you said, Saka started his career playing LB most of those games! But he’s already ahead of the great CR7 who played most of his games in La Liga, and many argue that EPL 20 are generally better than those of La Liga’s 20.

    Listen. Compare Saka’s minutes with seriously elite players like Messi and CR7, recently; and populate the minutes these guys played at the same age with those for Saka at this point. You and those who thought they liked what you said will be surprised that Saka is NOT being foolishly mis-managed or overly played beyond what’s consistent with elite players and good management.

    Again. Why is it that people don’t respect what Arteta says about things until it’s very late? I advise you to listen to Arteta regarding minutes for both Martinelli and Saka, and the workload management of their activities; how it’s being monitored and tracked and managed short medium and long term.

    Arsenal coaches are not foolish! There is adequate cover for Saka already! Vieira, JesĆŗs, ESR10 and Trossard who’s two footed plus Havertz. They all play RW including Nelson. It’s not been needed to shuffle things around for obvious reasons.

    How many games are the top players in his age bracket are being rested ? What are their minutes? Draw that picture before trying to jump into an obscure category of peddling a far fetched narrative about something that’s poorly researched.

    Not everyone will gobble this weak argument. This time around you didn’t do your homework buddy. Try again and put more effort.😊

  2. That goal involvement list at the end is definitely missing Salah. Salah has scored 79 goals in the PL since 2020/21 alone, which excludes all of the 2019/20 season where Shaka made his debut. He’s also had 39 assists in that time, for a total of 118 excluding 2019/20.

  3. 22 yr old with tendonitis in his achilles aready is mad. Played way too many games! Funny enough thats the exact same injury that ended Henrys career but that was way deep in his 30s so for saka to have that issue already just doesnt look good🤦

  4. It’s so funny how people are always mad at BarƧa for ā€œoverworkingā€ their players but it’s crickets when it comes to guys like Saka, Bellingham, or De Ligt’s game time.

  5. When sake debuted at left back, I’ve not seen any player at such age with that much of footballing IQ. He was so composed something like what people feel about Mainoa. That aura that this is an exceptional talent and intelligence

  6. Bro please man. Bukayo plays a lot cos he keeps himself fit. Maybe he doesn’t have to be playing 90 mins every game but. If you’re one of the best players in your position, you will always play

  7. I think Jesus and probably also Trossard could be the rotation options for him if we get a new striker. So no need to buy a new player IMO.

  8. True of Rooney and Torres, they were there to rival Messi and Ronaldo. Even after Ronaldo left Man United, a fully fit Rooney and Torres would've been a great rivalry in the Premier League for many years. Hazard on the other had, was the closest player we've seen to Messi. Had his Real Madrid career not ended the moment it started, his legend status would've been elevated – and he'd definitely have a Ballon d'Or by now.
