Dest was bad at times and Richards was horrible, apart from that, great final for all the boys, interesting take on the setup because rewatching the highlights you’re right, we did play a 4-3-3 so Gregg hasn’t changed his ways and was carried by talent again. Meant to comment right after the game but couldn’t, I had some expectations for Tessmann, Griffin Yow and Dietz since you guys brought them to my attention but im speechless. Idk if it’s recency bias and I don’t want to get ahead of myself but Tessmann and Yow are special, and I MEAN SPECIAL, if they can translate it to the highest level they’re A teamers, they are clearly ahead of anyone on that roster. Bajraktarevic, McGlynn Dietz and maybe even Cade, they have something the other guys don’t have and could be future usmnt material too but Tessmann’s range, composure on the ball and Yow’s ability, shooting and dribbling are something you don’t see often in this program…I’m curious now, who on the Under 19 squad should I keep an eye out for?
Give credit where it’s due… Gregg handled the lineup and substitutions well, and our players came up with a solid victory.
One thing México did win??… the jersey battle. Their kit for this game was 🔥, and the past few editions have been inspired. Not surprising Adidas handles their kits, while we’re excited when we Nike actually comes up with a respectable kit (which they did this year).
