Every striker goes though a slump. Robert Lewandowski went though one at Barcelona and everyone thought he was washed up. Harry Kane had a slump too after his failed xfr to Man City. Sterling wasn't even the primary goal scorer at City.. forgive the gentleman.
Leave Sterling alone with the right support he can be an asset to this team. We are supporters of this team, we don't need destructive energy especially at home. Blue and Yella let's get behind our fella. If booing is your thing, let's do it towards the other team and heap praise on our blue boys.
Sterling isn’t a team player. He’s selfish. Why we don’t play Noni and Mudryk to get more experience is dumbfounding. That’s been my primary frustration with our gaffer. I honestly don’t believe any other manager would have done any better with this squad when we consider the huge number of injuries we have experienced this season, especially in the half of the season.
The hysteria surrounding Sterling missing a penalty is not normal and makes no sense unless you understand it is fueled by the racism of a media with an agenda that has nothing to do with football. They are clearly dedicated to having nothing, but negativity, written about him as they done since he was seventeen, brainwashing the public into extreme views that make no sense and are not supported by logic. Is Sterling the first player this season to miss a penalty and how did the public react to that. You only have to google 'Ronaldo penalty misses' or 'Messi penalty misses' to know that to think missing a penalty means you are a bad player or having a bad game is a three year old's view of football. The hysteria and sports headlines of him not passing the ball and deciding to shoot himself instead, is a first in history as never has such an event which happens in football so often been headline sports news encouraging a hysteria from the public about something that is not happening for the first time and has never been seen as a big deal. 'He missed a free kick?', you say. 'What a shocker' Is that not the norm? Are you out of your mind? Free kicks are expected to be missed and so are highly praised when they are scored. How is it a shocker to miss it? Penalties are expected to be scored with the goalie expected not to save them and that is why it is a shock when someone misses it and much praise is given to the goalie if he saves it. I hope this is not too difficult for you to digest. But I would like to remind you that it was Sterling who did the hard work of winning a penalty as it was he who was deprived of an opportunity to shoot the ball and score. If anybody has a right to miss a penalty and not be criticised it is the player that won the penalty and just because he misses one, it does not mean he will miss the next time. In this game, the fact it was Sterling pass that destroyed the Leicester defense, putting them in a position of panic and leading to a player making a foul and being sent off, is being ignored. It should not be forgotten Sterling was instrumental in the event that led to the sending off, or that Sterling set up the second goal as an assist provider, or that Sterling won the penalty, all events that identify him as a serious if not the biggest threat to the opposition defense, and that includes the event of his misses in the game. It's normal for great players with record breaking statistics and achievements to have misses they should have scored and you will find plenty of other great players also having those misses, not just Sterling, but nobody is stupid enough to ignore the facts of their record breaking history and statistics to question the exceptional ability these things prove the player has, unless it is Sterling. He has experienced this from the media all his career from the age of 17. It is normal for great players to miss sometimes. Google 'Messi misses' or Ronaldo Misses' or 'Salah misses'. But it does not matter because they provide assists and score whatever is necessary to win games, leagues and titles. Sterling is an exceptional player as we see in the stats and in how he out performed his former team mates that are the best team in the world earlier in the season, and he is an England legend whether you like it or not for almost singlehandedly taking us on a journey to our first cup final in over half a century. He is quite simply the best and highest scoring English winger in the history of Premier League football. There has never been a better English winger in the past or today, he has already left them for dust in terms of goals and in the next 3 seasons will leave them for moon dust. This is what great a special players do, they are on a different level. Internationally, Salah is the only winger that has given Sterling competition in the Premier League in terms of ability and achievement as wingers and he takes penalties. Peace and love
I've been saying this all season: We play better without Sterling. His poor preseason, slow gameplay, excessive pauses, and selfishness hinder our progress. Despite numerous chances, he wastes them more often than not. As our highest-paid and experienced player (after Silva), his selfishness and poor decision-making are unacceptable. The excuses of youth or newness to the EPL don't apply. STERLING OUT!!
Sterling is the 3rd top goal scorer in all competitions, this season, second last season, some mad shouts from you given that there is little to know senior leadership in the team at the minute and you're wanting him out, having a bad patch – mudryk stunk of shite for 6 months, Jackson hasnt been able to hit a cows arse with a banjo until about 4 weeks ago, if you look at Sterling hes been pretty consistant throughout his career at us, dont jump on him now when hes surrounded by kids in nappies and expect a city level Sterling.
Had to click off second I heard that sterling works hard. What a joke, stop making excuses. The reason fans boo him is not bc hes horrible(he is) its because hes lazy and doesent care.
its not just this game though, hes the most experienced in the team, yet he has failed to take chance after chance, played really poor passes when someones through on goal, failed to square passes for players in much better goal scoring opportunities, tried to take free kicks and pens away from much more inform and confident players, dribbled straight into players time and time again. if we performed as badly in our jobs we would be close to losing our job, this guys got the security of being paid 350k a week, thats more then ive earned in my life in one week!!!!!

The team captain should have control of penalty takers not the oldest man in the team. But he took control as team look up to him and did not argue. So we should be moaning about Gallagher
The booing is unacceptable, we're lowering ourselves to Arsenal fan levels. We need to accept this is a new team and new manager, just get behind them and help them build. Moaning and booing just makes us look stupid.
I hate seeing players booed. Nobody knows Sterling's issues so let's just stop it. Poch should take him out of the team for a while and get him some one to one's with a Coach so he can be properly assessed and back to his best. There is a problem, it needs addressing.
I am getting more and more of the line of thought that Chelsea should withdraw from Social media as the fans cannot conduct themselves in a supportive way, of course have your thoughts but in the old days we would have spoken to our mates down the pub or wherever and aired our feelings there. By the time we would have got to see them our emotions may have calmed but social media is instant and hence all the hate! I don't think is meant as hate but in that emotional moment it can be understood that way. When I see the reactionary tweets of posts being negative I try to promote patience and tolerance but that can also trigger some negative comments. I think that as a fanbase we have been spoilt with so much success that we apparently have no patience. As a fan we should support the team, we are fans not the manager, we are not even involved or have real influence on who gets the job of manager, so I understand it isn't nice when we don't play well, we lose or disagree with the manager that is OK but publicly I think we should show a united front and await the season end and see what the owners (who aren't going anywhere) think.
You can accept players having a bad game, it happens. However, Sterling is a consistently selfish player, obvious passes each game week and decides to shoot, I don't see a team player.

That’s one thing I don’t like, the booing and abuse he’s getting.
Not been happy with him this season, but don’t like it going this far
So glad I ditched twitter many moons ago.
saw your comment on sterlings instagram post about the game, loved it, worded it perfectly
He a flop

Sterlinho
Yann It's stats stats they don't mean a thing if the end game is not there and it has not for loads of games for Sterling.

as a jamaican to a jamaican he is no good bro

Noni was right and honestly I’m ok with them all using toxic fans to build solidarity if that’s what will get them going lol

My man looking like Ali G here.

As a OG chels fan I can honestly say that the only reason why they keeping Raz is because is experience and can help mold the young players
If we kept Mudryk they would have scored us.. Poch can't win but he can make Chelsea win and he chose that

i could be mistaken but i don’t think Klopp called anyone fat in his post match interview.
