Even though there's bags of potential, many managers other than his trainers originally at South Hampton, have said, "Luke Shaw lacked drive, ambition, technical ability or any desire to improve. Can't really comment as I don't watch many united games but as Luke Shaw this would motivate my balls off.
Mourinho hasn't blasted him so much as given an honest if negative assessment of where he needs to improve.
as much as I hate Mourinho how to man manage (bar that inexplicable capitulation at chelsea lel), pushing one player or concentrating the focus of a team to pull together towards their goal.
