  1. That wonderful tackle by Ven was a pen, he took out legs from under Watkins. Clear as day on replay Spurs defender got away with a bad tackle and Villa were robbed of a pen in 6th min or so. Imagine how that would have changed the match if the penalty was (rightly) given. And why didn't var ref interfere? Seemed like the refs were favouring Spurs in Villa turf, quite disappointing and subpar refereeing yet again in 'best league in the world". That coming from a man who cheered for a Tottenham win in this match. I hust hate when refs influence game outcomes by bad or non calls.

  2. The difference between Post and Emery is that Unai always sets his team up to combat the opposition whereas Postecoglou sets his team up the same way.
I think Unai's way will get you short term success if you have enough quality ( which Villa do) With Post its a longer term vision , they'll take a few hits but eventually the benefits of sticking to the game plan will outweigh the short term hits .
I don't really think Postecoglou is to bothered about 4th place az I think his ambition is a title challenge in the next couple of seasons.
Unai on the other hand will be desperate for a crack at the CL next season and I think he'll do well if he gets it.
Be interesting to see which managers vision brings in more success

  3. I don't know why Emery changed it up the way he did, especially as our midfield was completely exposed. That being said Spurs deserved it the win, we didn't.

This isn't over, its just a tighter race now although more difficult we now don't have McGinn for 3 matches.

Lets see how the rest of the games go for both, not over till its over.

  4. Tottenham already has a top-class striker. Son Heung-min is still underrated. What if he was British? Look at his career. He shines even without Kane. His career was built at Tottenham, not Manchester City or Liverpool.

Son Heung-min has scored double digits for eight consecutive seasons. He also has a lot of assists. If his teammates hadn't missed assists, his assists would have been in double digits as well. How long does he have to prove?

Son Heung-min is a top-top-class player. There are not many players with a better career and skills than Son Heung-min.
In the current situation, there is no possibility for Tottenham to recruit a better striker than Son Heung-min. A striker who is definitely better than Son Heung-min is a player like Kane. They don't come to Tottenham. Some Tottenham fans do not respect Son Heung-min even though he is a club legend. Some critics apply stricter standards to Son Heung-min. Why is this so? Tottenham fans and some critics need to wake up to reality. Not only are there few players like Kane, they don't come to Tottenham. This is the reality. Tottenham would have been terrible without Son Heung-min.

  5. im really baffled by their decision to do a back 5. right from the get go it sends a message that getting a draw was fine. doesn't instill any confidence imo.

  6. Richarlison’s goal scoring has been a good story this year, but Son has to be the striker going forward. While Spurs lose an aerial threat, Son more than makes up for it with his creativity and supremely dangerous off ball movement. Add on the lethal finishing where he gets maybe 1 half chance a game and buries it, and it’s clear he’s first choice striker and shouldn’t be stuck out on LW.

  7. At full health, Tottenham is the best team in the league. Everyone saw it in the beginning, not sure why there is any doubt. Behind a World Class Manager and World Class Team First Captn, allowing whole team to believe in each other, they are unstoppable.
