Even if Lee Kang In was 100% at fault, which I doubt it, he is being treated like a criminal, for an argument that can happen every day in sports. Also, you cannot become a top athlete if you are not selfish, overconfident and extremely competitive as a character. If the fans want the team to only include well behaved and very nice people, then they should give up any expectations for trophies.
This Asian cup for Korea has been a disaster from the start. From players getting injured DURING PRACTICE GAMES, including the starting goalkeeper tearing his ACL and poor performances in EVERY game. We all thought korea’s first performance against Bahrain was bad but that was the only game where the team looked half-way decent. The performance only kept getting worse and worse and worse. Literally everything was going on a rapidly downward trajectory every passing day. We should’ve lost to Australia or Saudi Arabia. Making it to the semifinals was a curse in disguise!
Well LKI obviously has some issues. I mean imagine the abuse he had to endure growing up in racist as hell Spain. Even getting thrown away by Valencia must have been traumatizing. He needa a lot of understanding and gealthy discipline as well as a lot of therapy.
I've been a fan of the KNT since 2014 when I was first stationed in Korea. I even watched the entire 2002 World Cup run and haven't missed a single game since 2014. I've been hoping for such a talented roster for the KNT, and it's finally come and we've had two terrible managers: Bento and Klinsmann. This upcoming world cup is going to be Korea's best chance at a deep cup run for perhaps decades. When will the KNT get another 손흥민, 김민재, 황희찬, and 이강인 again? There will never be another World Cup within Son's prime. How can they not go all out and hire the best manager money can find? Even if it is all of 이강인's fault, we have to allow him make things right, he's Korea's best midfielder and our best chance at greatness.
Lee Kang In till now scored 1 goals & 2 assist for PSG in French league (5th biggest league in Europe) , Giovani Lo Celso scored 2 goals & 2 assist in EPL (biggest league in Europe) in 23/24 season both played 11 games. Giovani Lo Celso is the third choice for number 10 role in Spurs after Maddison and Kulu . When all are fit Gio can't even make substitute appearance for Spurs.
Son is the number one star for Spurs .On the other hand, Lee Kang In has less g/a contribution compared to Gio even after playing in a low quality league. Lee Kang In has no capital to be arrogant in front of Son. Son has more non Korean fans then Korean fans. Lee Kang In should be more respectful in front of Son. Don't talk about talent of Lee Kang In. Giovani Lo Celso is more talented than him and a World cup winner for Argentina NT .
We must embrace all talented footballers. Son, Kim, Hwang, Lee, we must keep ALL, every single player with a world class talent in the team.
Korea never had a dribbler, play-maker, passer like Lee Kang In.
We can't ditch him just like that.
