Theoretically if I was mayor of Oakland I would be cancelling each and every meeting with Fischer/Manfred/Kaval and I would have already pivoted to NHL and MLS back in 2023. Am I wrong ???

The goal of the city of Oakland shouldnt be to simply save the Fischer-overpriced Athletics- the goal of City Hall should be to have MULTIPLE professional sports franchises at the Coliseum complex for the community of East Oakland- along with providing invaluable family entertainment for sports fans in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Moneyball philosophy was a great moment to spotlight sabermetric community- along with providing an eye opening look at MLB front offices. That being said it was a terrible endeavor for an Athletics organization in desperate need of actual STAR players needed to compete with the history and glitz of the San Francisco Giants.
