Maybe if he was as good as this show likes to constantly say, he'd have broken into a team fighting relegation? Plenty of other loan players have.
If he needs to go to a team where he's guaranteed to play, and he isn't at Forest, how good can he really be?
I think Gio needs a La Liga or Serie A move in the summer. I'm OK with Gio playing only 38 minutes, as long as he doesn't get injured.
I suspect Gio didn't pick up the German after like 4 years, so a temporary move to EPL/Scotland was the only thing he could manage.
