Julian Alvarez | A City Studios Documentary

City Studios, the club’s unique, world-class creative content and production hub, are back with another documentary which launches on CITY+ at 17:00 (UK) on Thursday.

‘Julian Alvarez: Standing Alone’, available on CITY+, charts a remarkable year for our star forward.

Alvarez has collected six major football honours all in the space of a quite monumental 12 months – starting with Argentina’s FIFA World Cup win and ending with City’s triumph in the FIFA Club World Cup.
In between times, the 24-year-old played a major part in Pep Guardiola’s team securing a historic Treble of Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League before adding the UEFA Super Cup to his burgeoning list of accolades.

You’ll hear from important people in his story including parents Mariana and Gustavo Alvarez, his girlfriend Maria Emilia Ferrero, BBC Sport’s South American football correspondent Tim Vickery, team-mates Rodrigo, Rico Lewis, Jack Grealish, Sergio Gomez and Manuel Akanji, club legend Paul Dickov, super fan Big Steve, fellow Argentinian Blues Sergio Aguero and Pablo Zabaleta as well as City’s Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain.
