If you dont play the player, how can you blame him for failing to nail down a first team spot. 🤔 pellestri just needs to play regularly and then you will see that he is good enough to play in the prem. We shouldnt waste him by sending him to such loans again. Rather keep him and play him in the conference league
Would his end product improve in a better team with his teammates making more clever, well timed runs? I think it's highly possible.
The only thing keeping him back atm is that he is a bit lightweight. He makes good choices in possession, choosing when it's right to pass it around or open up in a sprint down the flank – and he's fast. Even though he's left footed same as Amad, there's a bit more of a traditional winger to his game, looking to get to the byline and cut it back for a teammate in the box. From what I've seen of Amad, he's got a higher tendency to come inside to link up with little tiki taka passing, and ride a couple of challenges with his close dribbling ability.
Pellistri is possibly the faster of the 2 and could be the better counter attacking option, or to come off the bench to run at tired opposition.
