We’re probably not spending big money for the likes of Toney.

He’s spot on. Players thrive in good environments, and togetherness goes a long way. I think that has all played into our progress this season.

If all managers shared this philosophy Ndombele would be working on a building site!

  3. Yeah all footballers playing in this level are top tier, what separates them for the rest is consistency. Every footballer has the ability to have a 8/9 out of 10 game. The world class players play at that 8/9 level week in week out

  4. Spot on, as always. I really feel like the £60M range is our sweet spot for our marquee signings as long as our scouting & academy continue to improve.

I’ll take a squad full of £40-60M footballers that are all hungry to improve and jive well together & in Ange’s system over trying to “plug the holes” with £80M shiny objects.

I get this, but when the difference between a top 4 team vs. a league winner is having all good talent vs. all great talent I wonder how you navigate improving.

Should be a very interesting summer.  Not an easy job
