The entire world was behind CR7 when he did what he did. But no body ever knew he had a critical flaw believing that everyone is at his feet. He got all the appreciation when it is due and he has to go through the shaming which is also correct.
Having said that, there are many players who would still be like that inside but would have covered up by proper PR. But CR7 showed he was brave to show who he is mentally by being honest/or being stupid. I like honesty, also I want CR7 to acknowledge his mistakes and be humble, but it is never going to happen.
