  1. That's why they should keep playing with 4 midfielders, staying in mid/deep block will work better with box or diamond, Mbappe and Vini can chill a bit, but they will press when needed

  2. With the speed of Vini, Mbappe, and Rodrygo, that team will be devastating in the counter. That team will be like the Real Madrid of 2012 with CR7, Benz, and Angel of Death Di Maria

  3. It really all depends who the manager is. Mbappe will certainly be the #9 regardless, but the manager will decide if he picks up the ball deep like Kane or stretches the field like an old fashioned 9.

If the latter, stlye stay the same as today with a world class finisher up front.

  4. They don’t have a pressing issue. Not every team needs to press to be good. I hate that so many people have gotten to thinking that way. You press when you need to but otherwise a standard mid block will work great especially as they have the strongest midfield in the world and an elite defence.
Mbappe might not press, but neither did bale, Ronaldo and Benzema and look how they did

  5. That's the thing about this madrid tho, and it's extremely demoralizing to their opponents even without mbappe yet. All their opponents do is break their backs pressing madrid and looking like the "deserved winner" thanks to their high possession percentage and "field tilt" stats. But at the end all madrid has to do is make a good defensive stop to run a counter then poof! All that hard work on getting possession yet you're still the one trailing behind them. Frankly, it sounds simple yet it's actually extremely hard to do. Ancelotti is brilliant in making this so simple lol

  6. Mistake most coaches make is trying to force a style of play regardless of the type of players they have. If mbappe joins real would obviously have to create a style of play that utilizes the speed of vinicius rodrygo, mbappe and whoever joins that team

  7. There is something different about chelsea now. The guys actually create chances. Earlier in the season we’d hold the ball passing it around with no creativity but now we are proactive in the way we create chances we’re still a bit naive/ inexperienced in the way we defend but that will change soon

  8. Real Madrid in term of high press, is one of the worst among European elite club. At best they can only do medium block, and set some pressing trap there.

  9. Their style of play is precisely counter attacks. Rodrygo, Vinicius and Mbappe as fast paced forwards who work better with space. Real Madrid can just sit deeper. Valverde and Camavinga can also sprint into attack from behind. I am not sure this is the best strategy for Bellingham, though. Still, he's mobile enough to adapt.

  10. Everyone is obsessed with possession based pressing football and it’s really not the only way to play, and against teams doing this you either need to be better than then (and no one is better at this than city) so you are better off playing a different way

  11. This team keeps getting stacked… I'm also hearing rumors about a verbal commitment from Alphonso Davies to Real… Davies and Mbappe is mad… God damn rich keep getting richer…

  12. Anceloti Coaches Prime Milan and told them to create thier own formation which had Kaka Gatuso Seedof and Pirlo he did that at Madrid with Ronaldo Bale Benzima he is the Goat in this situation.
