Pete’s skit about berhalters brother was hella funny
Malik Tillman's second touch on that goal was one of the sickest moves I've seen on a soccer pitch in a long time. He shattered that defender's ankles and ended his lineage. He is the most underrated player in the USMNT pool in my opinion.
Our starting midfield should be Johnny McKennie and Reyna when all healthy (but sub musah in for Wes if he’s out for nations league) out second team midfield would be Tyler musah and Tillman and our third team maloney LDT and Paxton Aaronson. The depth to have three starting midfields like that is impressive.
But if Gio isn't playing with his club he won't be able to go 90 minutes for the US.

I thought Cardoso was playing in more of a dual 6 system at Betis…I haven’t seen much of his actual game play honestly. But, if he’s playing in a dual 6 system, you cant just make the assumption that he can function as a lone 6, be serious. If he is playing as a lone 6, i obviously take everything i said back. I understand that you would rather have a guy who can distribute at the six instead of destroy. IMO, that requires a lockdown back line with a pair of world class center backs and high level possession players all over the field. We don’t have any of that. We need a guy to run, recover, and win balls.
To undersell what Tyler did for this team in the WC, or assume that Jonny could do what he did is ridiculous, more closer to absurd. There are plenty of ways to assist him in the build out, there aren’t many ways to assist the center of the park in closing down space in transition when Gio and Weston are in box…
Im going to be completely honest, if we are depending on our LONE 6 to create goals for us, WE ARE DOOMED TO FAIL… Positions have critical skills and ancillary skills….keepers need to stop shots, caring about a keepers feet is how that disaster happened at Man CIty. Our 6 needs to be elite defensively, period. If he can provide other stuff, great. He cant be deficient at the other stuff, but it is all irrelevant if he cant do the defending.
Pete, give it a rest! The continued whining about US Soccer and the Berhalters is getting old, it should be beneath you at this point. Let's see what happens this summer, then we can talk about what's next

Why do we dismiss good young players in MLS for playing in a "lower league" but then hype up guys like Lund playing in Serie B, which is demonstrably worse. Ternana would finish dead last in MLS. Palermo would miss the playoffs.

John brooks being basically banned from national team is the craziest mystery to me.. dude scored vital World Cup header, played amazing after and was never seen from again. If anything for his experience and leadership, plus he’s still good. Hate these player coach dramas with this team.
Johnny over a healthy Tyler is insane.. Tyler is world class at his position when healthy… killed it for a poor Leeds team and would be at Chelsea or Liverpool right now if injuries didn’t make deals fall through..
