Following an underwhelming 1-0 win over Canada, Belgium will have a second chance to show why they are the number two team in the world behind Brazil when they play Morocco on Sunday.

Head coach Roberto Martinez admitted his Belgium side had been “very, very below par” in the first half against Canada and said the key to success against Morocco would be to about “controlling the game and being ourselves from the first second until the 90th minute”.

Martinez gave an update on Romelu Lukaku who missed the Canada opener with a left thigh injury, saying that although the powerful forward is ahead of schedule in his recovery he is “100 per cent” not ready to start on Sunday.

Meanwhile winger Eden Hazard, who has struggled for form and fitness this season at Real Madrid, insisted that criticism does not bother him.

“That’s part of football,” said Hazard.

“I just try to focus on playing the best I can for my country and I’ll give it everything I can.”
