The boy loves to put in thru balls and he loves to shoot. He’s not fleet footed. One on one dribbling is not his strengths either. It’s clear he makes the most impact when drifts to the middle. They’re not helping him if they keep playing him on the wings. It’s not fair. He’s a central midfielder not a winger

He's indeed been played out of his preferred no-10 role but just like Kudus, his final third is poor. A typical no-10 must find strikers in a split of time and release the ball precisely and & shoot if necessary. Think of Rooney, Schneider, Odegaard, Muller & Debruyne. They are not naturally talented as Kudus and Fatau but the numbers speak volumes about what they do in the final third of the game. The best possible role any good manager would recommend is the wing where they could do their personal things. Good vision is what they must work on cos you can't win titles if teamwork is missing.
