Major momentum shift with a minute to play . If the ref does his job correctly the goal doesn’t happen 👍
Maybe Forest should focus more on the fact that they tried to play out from the back in the 99th minute instead of booting the ball out for a point
The outrage from that call makes a mockery of the real missed calls such as the liverpool goal that was disallowed because the var ref wanted the game to proceed. I personally do not believe that the call was bad because everybody talks about the ref allowing the play to go on instead of blowing the whistle. There is a good chance the ref let it go a bit to make sure he wasn't faking it. These days half the players are faking it. Then when the ref decided that he was hurt he blew the whistle and went back to when he first identified the incident at which point liverpool had possession.
The problem though is that Forest may have scored from the drop ball if it was given to them, not to mention the fact that the ref had a howler with the foul not being a penalty and the ref instead giving Liverpool the drop ball because Konate went to ground. I think that a replay is a bit excessive but I reckon they should share the points at least. That decision denied Forest a point.
Gary is missing the point that even though 2 mins passed since dropped ball to the goal, if Forest had the dropped ball, the action would still be near Liverpool goal. They could have won a free kick or another corner. Time would have been spent in that half of the pitch increasing the likelihood of a draw.
As a Liverpool fan, I take the result but through a Forest supporter’s eyes , the referee’s action was wrong and unfair.
why can't the referees do their jobs properly I mean many of them are refereeing as if they've never watched a game of football in their lives
its the same level of a refereeing mistake as getting a corner decision wrong.
Due a bit of luck, Spurs robbed us points from that VAR howler
It is a huge error. The referee took the ball from Forest and gave it to Liverpool. High-level sport often comes down to the tiniest of margins.
