There were already some voices calling for Christensen to be tried as a pivot months ago after Gavi got injured. Why did it take so long for Xavi to come up with the same idea? Was it because of the injured defenders?
With Christensen and FDJ participating more freuqently in buildup it relieves gundo off his duties and focuses more in him playing closer to goal to utilise his ability to target space, play in between the lines and ability to affect the game further up the field more( which will only help Lewa more) which for me he is our only midfielder apart from maybe Fermin that can do all 3 at a good level
Cubarsi should be giving a try at the CDM role instead of Christensen
He has more composure and passing capabilities. And christensen should be back at his CB spot
