uh-oh Someone better not let his parents know he's not playing. Or else that could be bad for the coach
Not getting minutes at forest loool what a flop
lol, if he ain't gettin minutes at the start, he's certainly not gonna get em later!…managers always give new players a chance at the beginning.
so, to recap:
1) gio reyna wasn't getting any time at dortmund.
2) no clubs wanted to sign him/get-him-on-loan, so instead he has to go at the very last minute on a loan that his agent cooked-up because he has connections at nottingham forest.
3) he isn't getting any time at nottingham forest, even though the team's manager is in cahoots with his agent.
that's trouble.
Could Keller be any more full of sh$t. Of course it's bad, and Reyna's career at this point is definitely not going well. Of course, there's tons of time for him to develop and turn it around. But get real. Right now his career is in the toilet.
Needs to play in the championship first.
GioGate 2.0 at Nottingham Forest
If he was showing anything decent in training he’d be playing. I suspect he is failing on the training pitch due to effort or lack of quality or both.
I called this as soon as there were links to Forest! Predictable he fell for the allure of the premier league but this squad is fighting for its life! Is the coach really going to change it up and accommodate Gio just to give him more playing time and disrupt the flow of the team? He should have gone to La Liga where her could have played with out that added pressure.
He played poorly at Dortmund which is a better team than Forest, he's not making the cut at Forest now. Maybe he should've accepted his level and gone to Marseille to at least get some minutes?
Fire Berhalter, it's his fault Gio isn't playing at Forrest and didn't at Dortmund. All those sycophants are silent now! Good luck to him, but he better tell the parents to back off and let him and his agent handle things because management and other players don't like it.
The advantage of the move is:
'Reyna as a self-entitled punk gets to experience a different environment. If he thought he had been mistreated at Dortmund, if he thought he could do better elsewhere, then hopefully the move will open his eyes. Hopefully this will humble him.
Malik Tillman can play the creative role in central midfield. The US has depth at attacking-midfield.
he should move to mls, that's his level
He couldn't get into a side that Jadon Sancho walked into.
His problem is Hudson-Odoi and Gibbs-White are better than him, so he'll only get rotation minutes if they stay fit.
Hmmm maybe he’s a bad player with an even worse attitude. Not a surprise he hasn’t done well.
Relax folks. Most 21-year olds would absolutely kill to have a contract with Dortmund and be training every day with a PL team. You expect an out-of-form player still working his way back to fitness in a new league to immediately displace a PL team captain or in-form wingers that have been playing in the PL for years? And during a relegation battle where team chemistry is so key? Come on, seriously. Reyna will get some minutes eventually due to rotation or injury. He's higher on the depth chart at NF than at Dortmund currently.
Meanwhile his mother digging for dirt on Nunno
Forest seem to need goals. Creating more chances and attacking is what Gio is best at. I’d expect his playing time to increase in the next couple weeks. Otherwise, why would Forest even sign him on loan if you’re not going to use him to try and inject some life into the squad?
MGW, CHO and Elanga are all talented young players in good form and all owned by Forest so they have more incentive to play and develop them. Gio will get his chance and reports are he has been killing it in the training ground
Maybe the problem is……that he's just not that good of a player.
This Reyna stuff baffels me.
The host complains that he is not getting playing time at Forest and seems to comes across as if the player is better than Forest.
Reyna barely played for a Dortmund team who are currently 4th in the Bundesliga, so you would assume that they are a some what decent team and Forest are currently 16th in the Premiere League and yet he can't get a game for them either.
This would tell me that the player isn't all that great and is possibly no offence intended another over hyped American player.
You have to earn the right to play and if he is good enough then he will do this, if not then tough luck.
This host always comes out with some weird stuff.
Who coughs like that on live tv
He will get time because he is a talented player which honestly as are national team goes we aren't that deep with great talent. Look even training and practicing in the EPL is better then mls or some smaller European squad. You are playing against the best talent in the world daily at practice so I'm not to concerned.
Nah he's just another overhyped yank who can't cut it in the premier league. He's performing exactly at his level, which is american underpar.
"We don't even need the all time greatest player in the history of the USMNT.. THAT is how deep our player pool is!"
-Said Klinsmann
We (Forest) desperately need him to get on and perform well. Let’s all hope we see him soon.
