  1. this is the truth of football these days. The creativity of players has been limited and you rarely see the magic nowadays and that's why you get the quality of talent going down and stats running the game😕

  2. "Data analysts are not footballers" so true coz the data would have been crying and worrying about the probabilities and odds of losing the ball or some of those crazy iconic moments and goals being not to the benefit of the team but we'd never have got those magical moments without letting the players express themselves. Not everything needs to be formulaic

  3. Same thing happening in the NBA with the 3 point shot. Physicality being taken out the game, rules benefit the offensive player. So now you see a lot of scoring records being broken, but the games are boring and predictable often.

  4. Don't watch football for Mou's tactics? You watch his teams and you know what you're gonna get, stinking the gaffe out. Surprised you, as the football purest you say you are, are simultaneously such a big Mou stan, HH. 😂 Nevertheless, true what Scaloni said.

  5. Blame pep he said he was going to destroy football and he did. Everyone is imitating the way he plays and its kilt the technical players such as direct wingers and number 10s.

  6. The obsession with possession, stats, and data analysis has virtually killed my love for the game. I’ve been following football for the last 25 years… If I was a new viewer, however, there is no way I would follow the sport in its current state.

  7. He's right but prolly has a agenda behind it. He's Argentine so wouldnt put it past him if he has realized 'the athlete' will dominate this current interpretation of ⚽ and that means more ✊🏿 will become the top players. Neverthless we need more geniuses! ⚽ is the only sport in the world where the skill level and individuality is devolving as oppose to evolving

  8. Cr7 ruined football not Pep. Pep was the manager who managed the greatest technical olayers in the world. Cr7 ruined football because he only cares about stats and kids are niw influenced by him.

  9. It's true. I've always been one of the more technical players on the teams I've played in, and the amount of times they tell me to pass it before even receiving the ball drives me absolutely crazy. I'm already a teamplayer by nature so my plan is always to find the best and quickest solution to the goal, but whenever they start screaming , I just think "I beg you all to shush for 5 minutes". Years later I now have a team who believes in my creativity whenever I get the ball. Your decisions on the ball become so much better without that doubt lingering. Scaloni is spot on, and we need more footballers to speak out against this disease in football. Don't bow down to the casuals who dont understand this stuff.

  10. this is a european problem that is infecting the rest of the world, this is the reason of the death of the NO 10, in Brasil most clubs still give freedom but the Positional shit has started to infect some clubs, i hope football does not die

  11. Messi was a beast ! He dosent care, he Will put the defence to the test he was a true Football Titan warrior when he was Young 🤯🦾✨ i wish he had played for Real Madrid instead of crap Barca 🤮 Hala Madrid 🤣❤

  12. It helps low teams these days they can compete with the best but now footbal has gotten veryyyy boring to watch . Almost like basketball .everyone playing the exact same wayy

  13. This is one of the reasons I dislike stat merchants. They view football through stats and not the cool moves or entertainment a footballer produces. Bicycle Kicks, Dribbling 3 players, long range shots, those are the stuff that excite football fans.

  14. as a football fan i agree football SHOULD BE ab the ballers but as a math dude i have to say its an undeniable fact that using data helps teams, specially when they dont have ballers to compete. if data didnt work no one would use it. bc of data someone like Alphonso Davies was spotted by Bayern Munich playing in a nonsense league. Bc of data teams have gone from 3rd tier football all the way to the Premier League by making the smartest signings adjusted to market price

we fans always view football from the top down, only care from the POV of the best in the sport but rarely we put ourselves in the shoes of smaller clubs. honest question, if u were football director of a Championship club wouldn't u use Data to try to get ahead of the rest?
