In regards to Dan burn merit doesn’t make up for a lack of pace, play him as a cb or sell him, his not a bad player just a bad LB

Burn, Longstaff, and Miggy were poor today. I don’t know but we really miss Popes sweeping skill. AT had a shocker as well, bad reffing for most of game. But it’s Tino starting for me.

Even if we won it feels like it is only a matter of time before we are in trouble again. The manager is completely blind, stubborn and thinks by hiding he is above it all. Dan Burn getting roasted multiple times is a stuff of nightmares.
Elanga twice started from behind and just ran past Burn like he does not exist. First time Dubravka bailed him out, second time he got punished. Midfield with Miiley is just a gaping hole whenever the press is bypassed. Miley is not the quickest nor is Longstaff and Bruno. Botman was shocking for a long part of the game. His lack of pace was exploited. How can you lose a foot race from a goal kick, where the goal keeper just punts it over your head????
Forrest got behind so many times, Burn has no pace and had the striker timed his run, his goal would have stood. Dubz, has 0 control of his box and brings down the striker with a clumsy hand. The ref was letting go so many fouls while our players just hit the deck and give away possession. How can you be so casual knowing you are under the cosh????
Manager makes one sub and then just looks on while Gordon and Miley are running out of energy. Were it not for Bruno's magic this would have been a loss or a draw. Wilson was so isolated he did not even attempt one shot on goal! He is the no 9 on this team. Where is our play to get even shots on goal from open play. Isak was constantly isolated for weeks since the year began. The manager is not long for this job. He will be found out. He can't blame it all on injuries.
Very surprised by Bruno sticking 2 in the back of the net, what a great result for the Toon, hopefully we can continue to put a shift in and secure points on the table.

Last 30 minutes left me almost with a heart attack.
Dan was awful and his confidence is shattered, but I hope he doesn't take the blame for their first goal. Eddie had one specific task….to ensure that Dan was nowhere near having responsibility for stopping Elanga. He chose to simply ignore the obvious, Forest took advantage of a gaping hole in our defence & Elanga struck with ease. To be fair to Eddie and Dan, if Livramento had played from the start then he wouldn't necessarily have done any better as Elanga is faster than him too. Still, 3 points gained despite another poor performance.

Everyone keeps blaming burn but its botman who lost his man many times and no one has said a thing about that. The whole back line is slow unfortunately and thats not their fault. Do need to sign an option for speedy teams for next season as it is our biggest weakness.

Dan Burn is the key to Trippier being able to attack and feed those viscous cross in and course most of our goals last year from the right, and miggy to score for fun from either chips on to his toe from Bruno or feed by trips, and if not trip’s whips; it all comes from burn slipping in to a back three in attack. Now the plan this season was to flick it all to the left and the right; but when Barnes went that was the left hopes dented because with only Jo & Gordon left to fix it if we lost one it was done. Live is a right back remember, hall is learning for a year and getting his core fitness. So ok, Bruno’s going to be able to creat down left and right because he no longer has to sit back and cover because we have just brought the most expensive Italian, Milan’s captain, the pirlo in waiting so no worries we are still on left and right…. And then we find out why we got him so cheap… the best thing I can say is that Burns gave us an update, he is now more fluent in English than he is… None of that is Eddie’s fault, but it’s his to fix 5:08

to expect a manager to ask a 17 year old to cover the arse of an experienced player is mental, I love Burn but he has been really bad recently, he needs to be punted. Eddie is acting like Southgate in keeping with his favourites.
Not sure miley was playing LCM, but I agree if we insist on playing BDB then give him that cover. Great video roobenstein

Nobody’s mentioning BDB’s “block” in the forest defender which let Bruno get in for that winning goal. Yes, he makes mistakes, but maybe makes up for it in other ways. Still agree Tino should have started against Elanga though, BDB just not quick enough.

Spot on roob with the burn situation !!!..burn is getting hung out to dry ….our midfield is weak without big Joe and burn needs cover simples… the game asked more questions than answers ..how does tino ..feel when he is not getting a game ? when we all know he is the better player ??..never mind the lewis hall question ??? …I am delighted we won …but the performance left a to be desired !!…if you offered me 7th now I would take it !! because I can see us lose more than we win playing like this ! confident we will beat Bournemouth next week ? am not ! 60/40 in our favour but let's hope we can get some bodies back for next week !!

Plan was always to play Sandro and allow Bruno to get forward, and score. I’m dreaming about next season. Dan has many skills but speed unfortunately isn’t one of them, needs support, Tino can’t be started every game. I trust Eddies plan of rotation as he can.
