With German forward Timo Werner becoming a key starting player for Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur side – today I will be arguing why the on loan RB Leipzig man will be important for Spurs’ run in this season and be a key asset to the forward line along with Brennan Johnson, Heung-Min Son (손흥민), Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison.
The Germany international might not have had the best of times at Chelsea ever though he won the Champions League, but his dynamic play and extreme pace has been essential in Spurs’ recent Premier League form and whilst on loan an option to buy for £17m seems like a bargain for a player who has 2 assists in the PL so far.

Timo Werner will do well at Spurs as a squad player
I agree that he’s underrated – he’s not really truly dreadful, he’s just plain awful.
I would sign Werner at the end of the season. I do think if we give him time, we can have the Timo Werner from 4 years ago, the one who was in fire for Leipzig, could be such a steal if so
his general play is gud but his finishing is still the same as of that when he was at Chelsea
Timo would have scored last week had kulu passed instead of shooting
He has 3 assists unless you live in fantasy land.
