Bayern Munich have confirmed their pursuit of Newcastle defender Kieran Trippier is over.
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund has told Sky Germany the Bundesliga club have pulled out of the deal to sign the England full-back.

English clubs trying to fleece foreign clubs the same way they overpay for players. It won’t happen. That’s a drawback of being the richest league in the world. You can over bid for a player but if you want to sell him out the country they won’t give you close to your return.
