Messi and Beckham Reaction to Angry Hongkong Fans
Angry fans in Hong Kong booed Inter Miami during a pre-season friendly after Lionel Messi did not play.
The Argentina World Cup winner, 36, who had a hamstring injury, was left on the bench as Inter beat a local League XI 4-1 in front of almost 40,000 fans.
There were chants of “refund”, while a speech by Inter co-owner David Beckham was drowned out by booing.
The Hong Kong government said match organisers Tatler Asia may face a reduction in funding.

There's got to be some politic BS going on thats lead towards this problem. I mean they want to see Messi play, thats why they spend money on it. If they would've mention Messi wont be playing on that match, 80% or even more of the fans wont even bother buy the ticket and watch the game. Money and time wasted, I mean seriously what do you expect the fans would do, its once in a lifetime oppoturnity, its not like Messi gonna play in that stadium every single weeks. Its so wrong from start to the end. All those effort of making the clubs reputation better just flew out of the window, just like that.
