Honestly, morals aside my tier 6 non-league hometown side (playing in the Vanarama Conference) could really use a Skipper and an old head. At the moment we've got our assistant coach in midfield, it's not ideal. We can't pay Hendo more than a few hundred quid a week, but he won't have to pay tax, and he can even call it charity outreach in the community and claim back on it.
Am not fully convinced Poch knows who Hendo is, or at least knew that Hendo is who the reporter was referring to.
Typical football fans aren't ready to know why all this really happened. £7m in back taxes is a lot, and humble pie tastes awful, but sometimes people put aside ego and sacrifice for love (or, what they think is love). Hendo acted rashly and foolishly, but who among us hasn't been a fool for someone. Good luck, Jords, let's see if you get your angel back.
