Comparing those stats for defenders is pointless. They play in different teams with different systems, Arsenal prefer to keep the ball to control games which leads to less defensive intervention required, Liverpool games are a lot more open and more defensive actions are required. Different styles of defenders, some are more stand off, some are aggressive.

Konate is so clear. He was playing in a CL final while Saliba was playing midtable football in the uber eats league.

what a suprise, a liverpool fan thinks his players are better then rivals. Nah im good. Im pretty sur ei saw saliba in every team of the season since last year. If ur fanbase is the only one hyping ur player. Thats a good indication that he might not be all that you think. Saliba is obviously better. Dont think theres much of a discussion there. But sure mate, whatever helps u sleep.
As a Liverpool fan, I think its important to highlight that they quite different roles in their respective backline. Konate is essentially playing as an outside cb a lot of the time as Liverpool move into a hybrid 3-back when in possession while Saliba plays that middle role which is closer to how VVD plays. Therefore its only natural that Konate gets more blocks, interceptions, etc. At the moment I do think Saliba is the better cb when you do the eye-test.
Great topic. It's very hard to call so will probably go down to an element of bias. But I think Konate will develop so much more playing beside VVD. Saliba hasn't got that luxury
