I'm danish, sadly France deserved it in the end with the game Denmark played in the end. One thing I hate about it, is that France shouldn't have played the Finale in the first place. They lost to Sweden in the semifinale, but the EHF didn't care. 😢 Should have been a Denmark – Sweden Finale.

Can someone please answer a question for me? I am not being funny or something, I like the game but I am very far from being an expert. Today I was impressed by both goalkeepers but I noticed that they are not as fit as the other players, in fact I thought they were a little "chubby". That is not the first time a notice that. Is this normal in handball? Is this intentional? Can someone explain that to me? Thanks

France are amazing. They clearly are no longer the dominating team of the 2010s, their collective is aging, sometimes their attacking game looks rather slow and rusty, their defense is nowhere near as agressive and efficient as what it used to be. Tbf they didn't even look too good today, if you think player of the match only danish names jump to mind right, it's all Nielsen and Gidsel and maybe Hansen and Pytlick. And yet here they are, adding yet another star to their jersey. Seemingly just believing in themselves, holding on like they know they will win it, and then edging it in another extra-time masterclass. Impressive.
