When it comes to new transfers, I'm not as worried as the majority of the support as CCV and Jota were both deadline day signings. There is still hope. But with that said my worries are that the club may be using this contract renewal and the rejection of bids for Matt O'Riley to gloss over the fact that we haven't done the business we need to do thus far in the window. We do need more signings. Keeping our prize assets is a monumental move but we still need more quality in the squad. We need a left back before anything else and a Striker due to the fact that Oh is away, although I think we can definitely improve that forward roll as for me, Oh isn't the answer.
Hopefully we get a couple in before windy shuts.

I’ve always thought CCV would be next to go despite the O’Riley hype .
I really hope I’m wrong in thinking this though he’s a great asset to Celtic.
Only weakness I’ve seen is when he comes up against a tall strong attacker as he’s been found wanting occasionally when confronted by that type.
One thing I’ve never understood in football is why players have any right to know what another player is being paid .
Callum McGregor is the top earner at Celtic for several reasons.
He’s the best player in Scotland and has been for 5 years,has served Celtic for over a decade and is recognised as one of the key players if not the key player for several Managers.
Common sense decrees he’s on more wages than some guy who’s rocked up with potential from a lower league or cheaper financial environment internationally.
None of their business what a player like Calmac is on regardless,get ye own head down and prove you are as vital.
I agree with Tony on O’Riley he’s young enough to give Brendan and Celtic another Season and gain yet more CL experience before he inevitably moves on.
On Scales Inhope he signs a new deal because despite CCV being the best defender at the Club Liam has been the best defender so far this Season IMO.
His performances v Lazio at home was as good as any other defenders I’ve seen this Season his covering for Taylor was superb and he more than looked like a European level defender.

Great news. Signing up these existing core player assets the board really have performed in a way that really protects the club both immediately and longer term so credit to the board. Now can we use these negotiation skills on external clubs and agents to get new talent in. It gives us at least a chance of keeping our core squad during Rodgers second spell even though the loss of MOR and Abada seems inevitable in the summer but we will have all summer to fix that.
