  1. Still don’t understood why Liverpool bought him. Overrated. No where near Stevie G level. He’s always the one who keeps on passing sideways or pass backwards. Always kills the offensive rhythm. Really boring player but of course managers like him because he plays safe. Really don’t understand why the Saudi team took him for an overrated mediocre player. Of course I don’t have the slightest clue why Southgate selected him for England when clearly players like JWP is much more talented than him but not selected. Regardless what he does or he plays, who cares? Very irrelevant to England team. Unbelievable there’s still a club moron enough to buy him…

  2. In six months I wonder how many lgbtq+ people he met while in SA & how many times he spoke to lawmakers to try & change their view . Wasn't this part of his reasoning for going ?

  3. Y’all talk too much. The guy is old and his leaving Liverpool was the best he could have done for the club to pave way for other talents to shine. Idk why y’all still on him. Talking about its a disgrace. Y’all should check yourselves

  4. He was right to move Saudi Pro. We work for money, want to leave better. The PL punishment for PL clubs is the real violation of English football because that ruins enterprises. I do not understand what PL wanted to achieve with that silly regulation, forget the National Team success. If PL does not turnaround and handles the Clubs as e.g. manufacturing companies PL will not be the best league soon. They do not want investors, earn money.

  5. his reputation? err..he just got snapped up by ajax within days of his exit. Chances with england? the same england that plays mcguire even when he dosent play a single club game. what agenda is the espn crew trying to paint lol…

  6. Some people acting like the man killed somebody, or act like they never did something they regeretted later. Not to mention hearing woke media moan about honesty is to hilarious for words.

  7. Steve Nicols reputation has been tarnished.
So its ok for Hendos friends Stevie Gerrard, Bobby Firmino and Sadio Mane to go there but he cant join them, eh Stevie Nicol you hypocrite. Why haven't you slagged off Gerrard for doing the same? He manages Hendos old team and has just signed a new contract.
    Who cares about England fans.
Most of those at Wembley live in London and support London clubs so a northerner is always going to get stick, isnt he?
Remember the stick Shearer got during the 90s because he kept weaker London based players out of the England team.
They sing a different tune now.

  8. It wasn’t about money to start with, he was offered a role different to what he was previously doing at Liverpool. It wasn’t acceptable to him. He had chances to go places, he chose the most financially rewarding one. What’s so wrong with that?

  9. I'd be curious to know if he would've still hightailed it out of Saudi if there wasn't an Euro coming up with England being a serious contender.

This feels like a "Yes, I wanted the money but then I remembered I also wanted to play for England when there's a chance to win the Euro" situation.

  10. i'm a Man utd fan but honestly who cares. He wasn't going to play much for Liverpool and went somewhere else. If he said he was there for the money Stevie would still moan as would everyone else who was against the move. Football is full of overly sensitive judgmental idiots now and i'm talking about the fans not the media. The media are overhyping this because they want the what? Oh yes that's right they want the money that the views of this will give them. The hypocrisy is real and people should fill their lives with something important rather than acting like he has killed a bunch of kittens in front of everyone. Grow up.

  11. Cry me a river🥱

Media love hyping up Newcastle owned by who? 🇸🇦Everyone watches fury and AJ fights no problem. Liv golf, F1, Madrid and Barca were playing there last week because of 💰. This selective outrage is laughable

Yeah. He got booed, as did Phillips and Maguire. Why was that then?

  12. It's been damaged in the media and among those in the grievance industry, but random people don't really care. He wasn't booed by England fans because he went to Saudi Arabia, he was booed for the same reason Maguire was booed – because the fans thought that he didn't want to be there.

  13. The honest answer is that he was getting older, he realized he would be in an auxiliary role at Liverpool, he became desirable and offered money as such. Had Liverpool told him he would play every game, be a focal point for the squad and have a section at Anfield named in his honor, let's be honest, he would have rejected ten times the money from Saudi. So it's not all money. What he did was more normal than purely out of greed for many reasons

  14. Everyone going there is going for the money. Why are we pretending like they're not? I dont see how this damages his reputation. We're all adults here.
