Cristiano Ronaldo has said that the Saudi Pro League is a better standard of football than France’s Ligue 1 and that he is still one of the world’s best forwards.
Ronaldo was speaking at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai. “To be honest, I think the Saudi League is not worse than French league,” he said. “I think right now we are better.”
He said moving to Al-Nassr a year ago had been the right move. “This year I did a fantastic season, I was the best goalscorer. Imagine beating animals, young lions like [Erling] Haaland with the goals. I am proud. I am 39 soon and I am looking good.”
