Ajax are intensifying efforts to sign Jordan Henderson on a permanent deal from Al Ettifaq.
The Saudi Arabian club have said they are not prepared to let Henderson leave on loan, prompting Ajax to consider offers to buy him outright.
Al Ettifaq are yet to give a clear indication as to how much it will cost to do that – but Ajax are hopeful they can strike a deal.

SkySports getting paid by the Saudi League to push the narrative that players actually it there, is beyond wild. Why not put up a disclaimer stating "we collect money from the people we are about to talk about" so that those watching know it isn't reality, but is actually just "paid for" opinions. Not a single non-islamic player has enjoyed their time in Saudi, and many are looking to leave within 6 months. Pathetic league & Pathetic from Sky.
Ajax signing Henderson just feels weird, because you rarely see good english talent in the Netherlands nowadays, just imagine if he chose his former club liverpool again, there’d be only booing in the crowd if he comes back to Ainfield. (There is one former arsenal player playing for Ajax that scored 5 goals, but there again Ajax is a literal target for Man Utd’s transfers.)
Money first

I hope the Saudi club denies the move or asks an astronomical price — show privileged British players they can’t always have it their way, money should not be the first consideration and that he finally feels a level of just deserts for the obvious lie he was peddling about his passion for the the other league.
