It is almost comical how quickly the media and fans make someone the new best thing or kick someone to the curb. Example is that Vitor Roque coming to Barca and already proclaimed the "WonderKid" and that he will be scoring goals left and right. He hadn't even played a minute for them. They were proclaiming that Pena was going to be the goalkeeper for the next 10 years and that he would push Ter Stegen aside after one great performance. Then he had some not so great performances and you aren't hearing that anymore. Everyone needs to calm down. No player or team is exempt from struggles and rough patches. Lewandowski doesn't stop being a great player in one season. Nor is Vitor Roque the next great Barca player, until he proves that over a sustained period during a season. Barca has talented players. Besides the ridiculous # of injuries they have had this season that has stunted their cohesion, it is just some weird situation that they just can't get it together. Perhaps Xavi is the problem. We will see over the next 2-3 months if that will change.

Xavi subbing out Robert Lewandowksi in the Las Palmas game after he dropped another disaster class of a performance yesterday is a sign that he is slowly losing patience in him and he has to be dropped. The guy is nothing more than a passenger in this team and even when he’s not scoring, he does nothing in their buildup and when he gets the ball he often loses possession and we’ve seen players go through difficult periods of form, the problem with Lewandowksi is that he doesn’t take any sort of responsibility for his shortcomings at Barcelona as he often blamed Xavi’s tactics or teammates not feeding him the ball enough.

He’s allowed to do that but he has to be aware that he hasn’t been good lately has scored just 3 goals for Barcelona since the middle of September and he’s not playing well. He has to be dropped for Victor Roque absolutely because I don’t care how big of a name he is in world football, the reality is in a team when a player is out of form, the consequence is that they have to sit on the bench it’s not rocket science and Barcelona are carrying a passenger in Robert Lewandowksi and I’m not sure how he can get back in top form. Given what he has achieved in his career, he being benched he could find it disrespectful, and even if you drop him I don’t see how that fixes all of Barcelona’s problems because they’re just so bad and their inconsistency isn’t just Lewandowksi not scoring and not affecting games, the whole team has been awful all season and Xavi’s tactics haven’t worked at all and him not knowing his best lineup isn’t helping him or the team but anyways they should give Roque a chance I thought he looked good when he came on, he was actually making runs and was more direct than Lewandowksi and people can mock his performance because of the 2 big chances he missed, I’m sure that with time, he might actually do much better than their attackers because quite frankly they’re all playing like duds.

Lewandowski’s form has dropped drastically since last season. I think because of who he is and what he’s done in the past, his presence is important on the field. But it’s time for him to start seeing less minutes and just become a mentor for Roque who is good but still has a lot to learn.

Lewandowsky is just the shadow of himself. He has lost the killer instinct he once possessed.

He is not even getting into positions to score. He doesnt even make good runs. Even Ferran Torres makes multiple good runs per match (he just cant finish those). Vitor was same, he put himself in dangerous position 2 times in 18 mins, but missed them. Lewandowski cant get into position and even when rarely he can, he dont score them either. Its big downfall of him.

Lewandoski's 1st and 2nd season at barca reminds me of Suarez´s 1st and 2nd season at Atleti, almost identical.

Barca paid 50 million for Pinokio Lewandowski. That's 45 million too much. Also his salary is 3 times higher than it should be. Obvious bad transfer. Lewandowski blames and belittles others while playing like a wooden Pinokio.
On top of that his handclapping and encouragement to Roque wwas fake and false because he doesn't like Roque s presence at Barca. He is self centered and, afraid and jealous. He should be sold this transfer window to the falafel league in Saudi Arabia for at least 50 million. Some financial compensation and more space in FFP salary budget of Barca!
