Buvey the only one talking sense. Fans of other teams might think Henderson is decent because of our recent success, but as a Liverpool fan, I can honestly say in 2024 he would be lucky to start for a bottom 6 side. Since 2021, he has been the worst player in our starting XI, and last season, he was comfortably one of the worst midfielders in the league. As Buvey says, he offers very little control in midfield, and to be brutally honest at 33 his fitness isn't at the level you need in the premier league. Thiago won more tackles, headers and contested more duels in the 18 games he played last season than Henderson did in 35.
He made the move because he knew his days of making the starting XI simply due to being captain were over. Wish him all the best – he had a great career, but that doesnt mean we have to pretend he's still a premier league quality player.
I get the fact Jordan wants to earn and provide for his family but let’s not act like he’s just made it… he’s been at Liverpool for years earning millions a year… what does he need even more millions for? 😅 it’s greed. Nothing else. You want to earn more and more that’s fine.. but when does earning money become irrelevant especially when you’re on millions and have millions saved up already.
People have a tendency to see Henderson in the same sort of light as Milner, a player who can continually play top level football well into his 30s, but the reality is, he's not that player.
If you sign Henderson now, the only thing you're getting is the experience and leadership, he's not doing ANYTHING on the pitch for ANY premier league side anymore.

The problem as I see it is that Henderson made a statement about moving to Saudi Arabia which was obviously only PR speak in order to make excuses. He said his move was about the environment for his family and because he wanted to help football grow in a new market. Absolute rubbish, everyone knows why he moved there, money. If he had come out and said it was for the cash, like many of the South American players did, I wouldn't have had a problem with his honesty, but he wasn't honest.
I lost brain cells listening to these lot, he’s coming in to be a backup why would you spend 50-60 mil on someone for that role? Werner is a low-risk high reward LOAN while Son is out for the Asian Cup. Seems to me everyone on this panel is more angry at their own clubs for not making signings this early.
