Torres had a very unlucky career in many respects. He suffered from several bad injuries at a young age, he won nothing at Liverpool during the peak of his career despite coming close several times, he never really finding his form at Chelsea after his previous injuries destroyed his pace and his confidence and lost the 2016 UCL final on penalties
Given all of that, it's nice that at least he was able to shine for the Spanish national team. He was an unreal striker from 2007-2010 and even though he was already past his best in the 2012 Euro's, that 3rd goal showed glimpses of the player he was
