With news circulating that Callum Wilson could be out of action for a few games or more, the search has to be stepped up for a back up, or replacement for our number 9.

FFP has us by the short and curlies. We just can’t spend that much because we don’t have that much incoming. Just look at Everton. They spunked all their available funds up the wall and are now in the brown stuff. We have to be able to have money for the next two transfer windows and not blow it all now. If we get major injuries or drop in form we’ll need money to cover eventualities. Hence we just can’t buy anyone if the price is hiked – we have to be dead careful.
Club buying new strikers doesn't mean that the existing ones have to be out, it can be part time for replacement etc. ideally 1 club has 7 strikers or wingers. .so have many strategies..

Wilson should be the back up striker for a new number 9, wood gone Joa Pedro as wood replacement, 2 strikers needed

Gomez for £10m a canny buy; for someone. I think he just isn't good enough for us. Almost (no pun) different league of quality to Wilson. We have seen that that finishing quality IS needed in that role, to progress.
I think the scary thing would be the World Cup of New Zealand are in the World Cup wood is out and if Wilson’s injured or called up we are left with out a striker

Just quickly drawn up a shortlist of underused Prem strikers we could loan or get in permanent shoot them down at will but try to give reasons. Brighton = Maupay. Chelsea = Broja , Batshuayi. Leicester = Iheanacho. Manure = Martial.
Don't think we will get Maxi Gomez it would be funny though to see him and Jonjo together with Gomez and Fester above there heads 😂
Evanlison at Porto is the guy. 22yr is Brazilian, tough, strong, 0.80 G+A in 2 seasons at Porto 19 goals in 32 starts in two seasons. Can't believe he's still there.
