Wolves lost Joao Gomes to a controversial red card within the opening nine minutes and eventually went 1-0 down just before half-time when Neal Maupay swept home.
But the visitors rallied and a Doyle screamer from 25 yards made it 1-1 in style.
Both sides had chances to win it in the remaining minutes but had to settle for a draw and the teams will now return to Molineux with a FA Cup fourth round spot up for grabs.

The word is resilient …over 90 min with 10 men due to poor officiating and inconsistent decisions but regardless we are still in the cup and I say this every week get Doyle on a permanent as soon as possible think he will be happy to stay definitely enjoying his football right now … him and Neto bossed the second half what a goal .. the reply knocks a game off that suspension as well plus we actually play at home in January now lol

Yes the Red Card was was very harsh if that is a Red then Brentford should have had two with the stamp on Doyle and the hands around Semedo throat showed Great character the team to come back from 1 down and 80+ mins with 10 men to get the replay at home

Both incidents were either both red or both yellow. As you say inconsistent. Great fighting performance. It reminded me of the Southampton game last season. In that game we brought Adama on at HT, they panicked and put two on him which negated their extra man. Same tonight when Neto came on. Great goal tonight, but not goal of the season, that was Sarabia against Spurs……IMO…..
Everyone is talking about a lack of consistency from the officials. That is exactly wrong. The officials are CONSISTENTLY penalising Wolves. The question is why. Wolves should be in the top 8 just now. This is too systematic and CONSISTENT to be anything other than Wolves are being deliberately targeted. It seems impossible even bizarre. Why would the authorities want Wolves crushed, a well run club, and one of the genuinely few clubs that could challenge the Big Boys? Answer is in the question. That is the simplest and easiest answer and explains why the league is corrupt
