if he (Wilson) is this vulnerable to injuries, ever team in the PL knows this, his value has dropped immensely. A loan out might be beneficial to the team.
Yes we need at least TWO strikers in. Callum's goal per game is good but his appearance record is getting as bad as Michael Owens. Time we got some money for Miggy as well as another season or two he is going to be worthless in the transfer market.
I partially agree, but there are a number of potential reasons the physio may have decided to leave, or that the prompted the club to 'mutually part ways', that would absolutely be none of our business.
Several of our injuries appear to have nothing whatsoever to do with training. We have two people out with dislocated shoulders, how often does that happen?

Krafth has been injured because he was stamped on.
Gordon appears to have been struggling since Caicedo stamped on him.
Isak has injured himself on international duty.

Im sure the training is rigorous, but i do think we've been genuinely unlucky with several of the injury problems.

If it wasn't for FFP we'd probably keep Wilson as a backup striker and sign another. But FFP stops this being an option.

Yeah, this transfer window we need a Striker, RW, and midfielder(I still don't know if they'll go for GK given that they didn't want to give de gea a try). Then in the summer we can work on get better and younger with the defenders. All the transfers windows from now on can also be used to get some more depth. Minteh would help but it will take him a while to get used to Newcastle's play, but he'll come along
As for Callum Wilson, it's an interesting talking point, I would trust Eddie and the ownership with that. We love Wilson, but I would understand if he had to go. If he stays and we get another striker, maybe he can play Cup games and split the PL games… IDK, we'll see

I really enjoyed your commentary and I totally agree with you. Some fans bury their heads in the sand and refuse to accept there are problems in the team, refuse accept there are problems in the management style and refuse to criticise players when they underperform. Nobody is saying we should abuse Eddie and the players but if we want to achieve something, we have to let go when the time comes.
Must day he did great last season and season before to get Newcastle to this stage but I get what ya saying, Rooney useless along with that Fraud Gerrard n Lampard , years ago these big names did pretty well Dalglish Liverpool Blackburn Sounes Rangers Keegan Newcastle Gullet Chelsea Robson Boro Hoddle ok at Chelsea not spectacular but laid good foundations for others, Gary Cook what a clown peter Ridsdale fantasy world of superstars n autograph hunting n expensive gold fish
What on earth…If NUFC sell Wilson, then what? Another striker down and if Isak is injured again? Then what? They will just end up buying another striker. It would be CRAZY to sell Wilson. NUFC are short of players as it is. x

If we could get a loan striker in this month (Benzema?) to back up Isak and Wilson, then that should see us through the remainder of this campaign. Let's be honest we aren't going to win anything, even Europe looks a bit of a stretch at the moment. We keep our powder dry until the summer, then we go all in on Osimehen or someone close to his prowess. Hypothetically we could have Osimehen, Isak to rotate, we could then perhaps keep Wilson as number 3 (if he's happy with that role) or just replace him completely. Whatever the permutations, we cannot have Wilson as one of the main strikers next season.

Before the start of the season, I thought we needed another striker alongside Wilson and Isak, especially with Callum's injury record being the way it is. I've also mentioned now several times about our injury problems and the club's medical team. For a while now I've thought there's been some incompetence in that department. It's surely no coincidence that physio Danny Murphy has left the club.

It is Ok to sell him, but who do we replace him with? another 15 goal man will cost £50m plus and probably more for the rich club tax, so if we have to balance the books and manage FFP, is selling a 30 year old for £15-20m and forking out £50-70m good business?
We are in need of reinforcements all over the pitch because of injuries and if we have £50-70m to spend I would like to get at least 3 loanees in and 2-3 signings for that amount.
I reckon we need at least 6 more players for the rest of this season through the door to be able to cover injuries and add a bit of depth, but that will take time, but we definitely need to save our season before it escapes us.
Love you guys, but saying Wilson is not an elite striker is miles off. He’s in the top 1% of strikers for goals per game over the last two seasons, improving this season. Comical to suggest he’s past it. He’s also top out of strikers for pressing. Is he injury prone? Yes, but it would be idiotic to sell him for realistically pennies when replacing him with someone in the top 1% would cost 70m+ at the moment.
Him and Isak both being fit is what we need, or a third choice striker. Play either Isak or wilson for 60mins based on the opponent and then throw the third choice in for half an hour to save them, then they can all go 100% without injuries
