Transfer journalists and football insiders Fabrizio Romano and Darmesh Sheth of Sky Sports have both claimed that the Saudi Pro League Al Ittihad are interested in signing West Ham’s Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd. The Hammers chairman David Sullivan has indicated that he will not accept less than £30m for the West Ham defender who is currently on international duty at The African Cup of Nations.

I would be gutted if Aguerd left
with Steidten now responsible for sales and acquisitions, let's hope for the sake of the club finances, these buy high, sell low, purchases stop. There are so many rumours about who brought who, and Moyes did his due diligence with his MOT on players, the club must have been viewed as a soft touch when it came to negotiations on these players that are view now by Moyes a "fringe" players or unwanted. No wonders certain aspects of the fan base, including myself, dislike Moyes so vocally.
I don’t want Aguerd to go, but if Aguerd wants to go…. make it quick and make it expensive.
I think Aguerd was bought for Moyes' attempt to make us play attacking football. Since Moyes has entirely given up on that plan then he'll think we won't need him as much. I think he's decent, we overpaid but he's quick, good in the air, great left peg. would be a shame to lose him. Plus the Saudis can jog on, 40m minimum.
Happy to sell him with 2 conditions, 1 we get good money for him ,2 Tim replaces him with a better player ,

Happy for us to move on Aguerd as long as Steidten is bringing in the replacements and not Moyes (slabhead or dier). Aguerd has pace and can play a few flashy passes but he makes loads of mistakes,is weak in the tackle and is not a leader.

Cant see Aguerd leaving. Saudi could be interested in all our players but doesnt mean we are selling them. Plus Moyes wont want to risk being short on defenders and its a risk bringing in a newbie to replace a 1st choice CB mid season

Nayef is another player that DM does not understand, yet many others do.
DM, apparently is first and foremost a defensive coach, yet for some reason fell at the 1st hurdle with Nayef.
He is a progressive, on the front foot type of player, therefore struggles with the low block.
Why hasn't Aguerd's value increased? He is now a European trophy winner, plays regularly in the Prem, competes against the world's top atrikers day in day out etc?
